A couple of red-tailed hawks built a nest nearby where I live. Their eggs hatched around April 23 rd. 3 babies were growing seemingly healthy, and well. Today May 13 th , and part of yesterday, I haven't seen the parents coming back to the nest. Usually one of the two parents has always been supervising the 3 young ones, and they were feeding them continuously no problem.

What could've happened? None of the parents is showing up. What could be the reason? I keep thinking of the 3 chicks and how hungry they must be.

First thing tomorrow I must call some Wildlife preservation agency.
