Back splash help needed please.
Comments (20)Pretty tile. Are your shelves extending to the edge of the countertop? The question most frequently asked is: do you end the tile at the cabinets (shelves, in your case) or at the countertop? Is that a closed door to the right of the outlet? Is the outlet a light switch? I would think it would look odd to go to the floor unless you also went to the ceiling....See MoreBacksplash help needed
Comments (13)I might do something like this Fire Clay tile. Your Fantasy Brown looks more green than blue. https://www.fireclaytile.com/tile/colors/detail/blue-spruce/ I think this glass mosaic is very pretty. I've seen similar tile and I think it might have a little brown in it too. Not that I'm advocating a mosaic, but you could use a smaller tile because your backsplash isn't right next to the FB granite and you have a small space to tile. It is probably too minty. Click on More Info and look at the other photos of this kitchen to see how they used color. You've committed to an accent color with the FB so I wouldn't feel reluctant to add it to the backsplash....See Morebacksplash help needed
Comments (19)Agree no more pattern! There's plenty going on already. All beautiful individually but if you put too many stars together they start to fight each other. Go extremely simple on any thing else that's going in. I think I would go with a plain brushed stainless steel backsplash under the hood all the way across and do nothing up along the sides of the hood. The ss would be easy to clean and you already have ss in the kitchen so not adding something else. Glass would work too, just clear letting the paint color come through....See Morebacksplash help needed
Comments (13)Soft, you're the one that posted a white ceramic subway tile. :-) And the right white ceramic subway tile in the right kitchen can be beautiful. Still, the original poster isn't limited to white, or to subway tile. I was actually thinking along the lines of slate, but then I flint know what the counters look like... What I meant by context is that not every tile looks beautiful in every kitchen. You agree although you may not express it in the same way. Should the original poster return post counter installation we would be best able to help if he/she gave us some budgetary guidelines and inspiration images....See MoreEtta Miller
