Meghan Markle has not seen any of her half-siblings in years. I don't think she's even had a relationship with them.

I think where some of them take offense is that strangers will be invited to the wedding as a way of having commoners included in the nuptials. So, strangers, yet not family.

Other than her mom and dad, will she have any relatives from her side?

If someone doesn't invite me to their wedding, I think I'm probably not going to say a word about it.

Of course she'll have family there. Her and Harry are distant cousins after all ;)

I have half siblings that I don't have relationships with. Sounds like Meghan is in the same situation. Why didn't these "estranged" half siblings and family members reach out before? Why now? Suddenly they want to be included in things? I'm glad I'm not reading any responses from Meghan. Maybe if she ignores them they'll go away.

Neither of my children invited their half-sibling to their weddings (nor did he to his!) as they have had no contact with him in years. I'm not sure they would recognize him if he rang their doorbell. Their father has been divorced from his mother now for over 20 years and is also not in contact with with this young man. Different families handle "step's/half's" in different ways. If there is no relationship, no invitation.

Half/step/his/hers adults have made the concept of family so complicated; and sorry but it SHOCKS me they then think the children should all just embrace it. Truth is these semi siblings did not grow up together, do not share most of their DNA have no orientation to FAMILY that would EARN the idea "for family you do what it takes". It is likely Meghan has about as much connection to these "siblings" as I have to my first cousins that I saw three times in my childhood. I have no problem with the wedding guest list reflecting her actual relationships. A label does not make the assumed relationship true. Her heart tells her who her family is and I am sure they are all invited!!

He would want probably want a round trip ticket to go with that invitation. Ah, family. They never cease to entertain.

Strangers are a better bet. Less chance of ulterior motives ($$$), and if bad behavior happened, it wouldn't be linked back to her.

Based on the comments I have seen in the stories, I probably wouldn't want the older half siblings there either. I also kind of wonder if there is more to the story. Meghan is a product of a second marriage. Older kids and a second marriage often don't go too well. They may have been excluded from Meghan earlier on through no fault of their own. She may have been given opportunities they didn't get. Now they see her as the brat kid who they were nice to and loved when she was little. She ditched them.
