I'd guess looking at your ground alkali/salt soil. Also would be nice to know the drainage rate of the hole you planted into. I would have mixed about 50:50 soil:finished compost to plant the tree. Nice blooms though. Hopefully you dug out any compacted soil to a 4 foot radius and straitened the roots out. Paint exposed trunk and main branches white with 50 to 100% latex--water based. Get rid of that hideous rock mulch around the tree out to 4 feet. Normally I'd say 4" thick of wood chip mulch but in your case, make it finished compost. It can works its way in slowly. This will keep roots moist, cool and eventually fertilized. Should reduce the heat reflected off the ground considerably too. Get a watering well out to at least the canopy line and heavy water infrequently. It is possible it reflects a copper deficiency but I doubt it. I don't know if that would cause the problem. But you should tell them no more herbicides or chemicals since you no longer have a lawn but an orchard with grass. The half life of that chemical in soil is 1.5 years and plants take it up through their roots... The trees could be having trouble for other reasons. The mulberry does not have iron deficiency, that first appears on new growth. That is probably magnesium deficiency. Are the roots healthy? The leaves look a little wilted to me, maybe it is overwatered? The fig looks stressed but not sure why. How have you been watering it and how long ago was it planted? Which region do you live in and what has the weather been like? Some more pics might help.

The containers will probably improve with more steady feeding. Rain and watering leach fertilizer faster from a container than the soil. The one in ground will eventually get nutrients from the mulch as it decomposes but depending on conditions could probably use some extra fertilizer at times to grow well. If the leaves start having problems again take some more pictures. You should also learn about pruning, trees that are weedy and dense are more vulnerable to fungi that attack leaves.

Generally speaking - and I'm no expert here, just have a few houseplants and have been learning a lot from this forum - some plants such as the softer leaves ones will show their displeasure and happiness quite quickly by wilting or perking up quite quickly. But I think some of the thicker leaved firmer plants can look ok for some time even when declining (more water reserves, stronger leaf structure,etc), for example sansevieria (snake plants), so maybe rubber plants are like this too. What I'm trying to say is it may have been going downhill for longer than the two weeks of obvious symptoms. Plus it's possible really high numbers of fungus gnat larvae could have munched on the really fine feeder roots. Although I thought the roots looked good overall. I don't know about the white bugs, you'd need to be sure what they were to know if they damaged it. And the (necessary) repotting was another stress on the plant. Many factors to consider, playing plant detective. It may well be the additive effect of several things. You've had lots of good advice from the experienced people above, on light and soils etc. Personally I would now put it in a bright warm draft-free spot inside, and wait. Don't let the roots dry right out while they're recovering but don't let the soil stay damp either. To achieve this, try using a spray bottle of water on a gentle jet to target where the pruned rootball is, and at the times when you do water more thoroughly leave the pot tilted at 45 degrees (even 30 degrees will help) for 15-20 minutes afterwards and then sit it on towels or paper pushed up against the drain holes for a couple hours. This isn't to remove all the water you just put in, it is to reduce the saturated layer that occurs at the bottom, the "perched water table" (yes, it has a name) Dont fertilise until you see new leaves growing and don't sunburn it by putting it in direct sunshine outside if it's not used to it.
