mixing bathroom finishes

I’m building a cabin and trying to chose my fixtures and hardware finishes for the bathrooms . It’s very rustic or modern like rustic with lots of pretty wood that is stained but will have marble tile too.. some find hard to visualize.. I found some pulls (2 actually that are similar) I’m in love with the finish called weathered pewter and another is that is distressed nickel... I will put in each of the bathrooms but now I need to mix/match the fixtures faucets and shower etc. what nickel should I go with polished nickel (it’s so popular right now), satin nickel, brushed nickel or chrome?
Something that will be classic like wood and marble..

Words are your interpretation talking to our imagination, and a lot is lost in translation. Can we have pictures?

Do you want to intentionally mix the hardware finishes, and why?

Marble tile or marble look tile? The former is porous

I don't like mixing a shiny silver finish with a matte silver finish, for instance. I'd keep it all matte finish silver if that's what you started with as your "must have" fixture. But you can mix it up, if YOU like it......?

Since it's not installed, have you thought about a speakman anystream showerhead? It's also a "basic" shower head but gives a great shower (great pressure). They do make it in a polished nickel finish though. They sell the 8 jet version of it at restoration hardware for $259 but I bought the 6 jet version at homeclick for $50 or so (for chrome, I'm sure nickel would be a bit more).

I have this article saved in my favorites for a reason Ã¯Â¿Â½ I love to mix chrome with a hint of gold or bronze. It gives a great look and I think you'll be very pleased with it. sweeby makes a great point by noting that the fixtures are much more important than the color you go with. no, it wouldn't I mixed finishes in all my baths..looks pretty natural. I don't even think people notice..they just see bigger picture. Don't mix brushed nickel and polished nickel, or chrome and nickel, these are too close to mix successfuly. ORB is different enough from brushed nickel, and also gives that very neutral feel, it being dark..you should be fine. but you can also cross post your question in Home Decorating forum..there's usually where questions about colors etc. go. Or Bathrooms one..but Home Decorating has more traffic..you 'll get more responces

I love bathrooms with mixed finishes. Google images, they are gorgeous. In my in-laws bath that I'm designing, we're using a gold-framed mirror and gold finish lighting, but chrome faucets. I've seen some black and chrome mixes that look fabulous as well. And gold/brass kitchen cabinet hardware with chrome faucets is a great look you can find lots of pictures of online.
