Is that you, Jim, in the missus's sandals?

That woman was watching a 'crossing the equator' ceremony. I guess she did not want sun on her upper body.

Dawn, what is that flower called?

One of our new hellebores.

Moni, I wish I had an answer to your question, but I don't know. I saw the flower in a garden in Singapore and snapped a photo because I thought it and the rain drops would make a good picture. Maybe one of our many gardening experts will stop by and identify it for us. I'd like to know too!

Phlox?..it looks like my pink one.

I don't know if it's the color or shape, but your Singaporean flower reminded me of the incredibly ubiquitous Ixora found in the USVI.

I thought that the leaves are different. Was it a shrub?

Wild Rose

Ava, hopefully she'll let us know the plant's habit. I sort of think it is going to be tropical given Singapore's latitude. At any rate, I'd love to know

;)

Rob, I agree. It could be a vine. Very familiar looking to me.

rob, your plant looks very similar, but the petals on the one in Singapore were wider and the leaves on the plant rounder. Also, if you look at my photo, the flowers aren't as bright an orange.

Ava, it was a shrub/bush growing about 24 - 30 inches tall.

I'm wondering if there are a lot of varieties of Ixora. If there are, this could certainly be a cousin to the plant rob has shown us.
