Need help identifying these tiny critters
Comments (5)They look like aphids to me, though I've personally never seen brown aphids, so that's just a guess. I had the white, pink, and green ones in my garden. I just kill them by hand, and though it is a daily chore, it's actually quite satisfying! It takes very little pressure to smush the boogers, and at least that way, I know they're dead. Comments (6)I recently retired and am just now learning to identify the beautiful beauties that grace my gardens. I almost flipped last year when the Dill in my garden was eaten down to nothing more than a stalk. My volunteer citrus was mutilated too. I really didn't pay attention to the culprits. This year I decided that I would try to take notice of the little critters and find out who they were. This is just too much fun. DH has helped prepare a cat cage so we shall see what developes!!! Yes, I am lucky to start off with this beauty. Hopefully I will find more. I love looking at all of the great pics that you guys post & I will try to get better at it so I can share too! We put out traps and even some in the beginning of the duct along that kitchen wall. Good and bad news! One of the traps inside the vent is gone and that duct is NOT accessible like the others, it's hidden past some insulation and woodwork and closer to the exterior wall of the house. So we likely caught something that slid further along the duct, but we can't reach. UGHHHH. Either we find a scope camera, something to pull it out with, or call someone....See More- 6 years ago
