How is it that I didn't know these existed?

I was looking at buying a tote on Amazon and came across these felt bag organizers. Are these a new invention? How could I, the person most in need of organization intervention, not have been told about these? I'm sharing just in case others are just as clueless about this wonderful invention as I was.

If you have one, are they as life-changing as I think they could be or is there a downside I'm not thinking of?

There's lots of them, some fit down inside purses to keep things organized. Some are for in suitcases to organize. They can definitely be helpful.

I find them helpful sometimes and I find that they make my purse heavier other times. So really you have to pick the right size and perhaps even the right material of an organizer for inside an existing purse. Good luck :-)

The orchid is gorgeous, Ginny, and the sunflower looks to be helianthus angustifolia, or narrow-leafed sunflower. It is also called swamp sunflower, as Laura suggested. The girl who designed that pattern is a military wife with 4 young children. She supplements their income with her designs. Her patterns are unique and very well written; easy to follow. I've purchased a few of them, including that one.

This forum would be great if anyone ever camer over and posted. There is so little traffic here, perhaps b/c it's members-only. Sigh. I am usually at remodeling-type boards but occasionally cruise over here to see if anyone is posting. I feel sorry for your daughter! Ours have all had cocksackie (hand-foot-mouth) at times, it's awful but not as bad as the flu. Funny you mention tonsilitis--- Three of mine have it right now! (6, 4, and 3 yr olds) and the baby (10 months) has a cold. Yuck.

Ha, you're not alone. I didn't discover them until about a year ago. I wanted one for organization but to also help keep shape to certain bags. I read so many reviews and looked at so many different things that night I may have mixed up products but mine (nylon not felt) doesn't keep the shape at all which is disappointing. Maybe it would if I filled it up better. I apparently don't have as much stuff in my bag as I thought. I think there are some inserts that are designed with hard bottoms to help with that.

The felt ones keep the shape of the bag...if you have an unstructured bag. I don't find them heavy at all...

I don't know if I find it "life changing"...but wouldn't it be great if it had that power???

I discovered them a year or so ago and, yep, I find them life changing. I used to only change purses a couple of times a year, now I change them all the time. Just lift the insert out and place it in new purse. Mine is nylon so probably lighter than the felt and maybe molds a little easier to purse shape. They're awesome!

I'm very particular about the arrangement and number of pockets in a handbag so I never buy unstructured ones, but I can see where the organizer would help with handbags that have little in the way of internal organization.

I use a purse organizer in my Lonchamp Le Pliage tote to give it structure and to help organize the contents. That is my favorite tote for travel.

I have one that I got several years ago from QVC. They make changing handbags so much easier. I got it for that purpose.

Omg i think it would drive me totally crazy making sure everything is in the right spot? Plus it looks bigger than many of my bags.
