Opinions Needed! Where to end backsplash? Photo included
Comments (52)I love the framed pictures at the end of the wall, but this is just my own petty little opinion, I think it would call less attention to the backsplash dilemma if the pictures were centered on the wall space between the door and cabinet shelves end. That way you would never even think about the backsplash and just look at the pictures and not wonder why they weren't centered on the wall, which in turn would lead to explaining the dilemma about the splash. I know that was a run-on sentence...sorry!!!...See MoreNeed help with kitchen backsplash tile "end"...
Comments (6)That's a schluter edge. Nice they did that...but they sure did a messy job. Same thing happened with my back splash. They tried to "clean it up" which helped some, but still doesn't look professional. I would have the gc look at it. Ask him "does this look like the kind of work you expect to see in a (whatever price) custom home? If I review you on Houzz you want me to post these pictures?" That should get you some kind of answer... Good luck!...See MoreBacksplash tile around window frame and where to end it--help needed!
Comments (12)I'm one of the people that hates to see tile jut out beyond the edge of a wall cabinet. I end tile in line with the wall cabinet and not the countertop. It would depend upon the tile. Given the size of the space, I would say not to carry it up around the window unless it is a mosaic type tile....See MoreHow do we end the backsplash with this light switch location?
Comments (5)Your first photo shows an outlet, not a switch. If it can't be moved to the left, leave it where it is and hold the backsplash back a couple inches from the cover plate. The fact that the backsplash doesn't go all the way to the end of the counter won't matter....See Morelynetta51
