Your room is really beautiful. I love the carpet in the picture. Is that one you're considering or will that stay as a second carpet? This is the only room I've ever seen where even the cat tree fits in and looks gorgeous. I like all the pillows except the one on the right which seems a bit strong, although it may look great on one of the chairs. I think the wall color is pretty and may be a softer transition than white would be with the dark blue. As for rugs, either polypropylene or wool can be cleaned with water and a little bit of dishwashing liquid or other mild detergent.

I think that in the rug a little bit of red would be good with the blue and tan colors to warm them and give them some life. You have such great taste that you're sure to find the right pillows and accessories.

Thanks, Ingrid. I see what you mean about the darker pillow. One of the reasons I was looking at that fabric is that it has some great colors in it. The rug you asked about also has some good colors. We do have a larger one just like it in another room. I’ll have to give it a try and see how it looks here - otherwise, I had thought to remove it when we get a larger rug. The small one you see is currently sitting in front of a sliding door to our deck.

I like the idea of some red in a rug, too. I appreciate your thoughts!

This is the rug we have in another room that we can try here, but I’m not sure of the light blue works with the aqua sofa. It matches the small one already in the space. (Pottery Barn Eva)

By the way, Ingrid, thank you for the nice comment about the cat tree. It isn’t the prettiest thing, but it does help keep the cats off the furniture and they enjoy the view! I put heating mats in each level to encourage them to hang out there. ;)
