Log house living = LOTS of wood... living room area rug help please!
Comments (11)I have lived in 2 log homes. I understand your problem! Do you have any interior stonework also? Last time I was in this position, I tried to pull the base color of the rug from the lightest tone in the stone on my fireplace, so that I didn't end up with too much going on. Jewel tones do seem to work well, also. I like the last 3 you posted in the comments. It is really hard to pick unless you can see the rugs in person, too. I ended up ordering my last rug through a local furniture store, where I could see and feel samples. They ended up being very competitive on price. I tried ordering online first, and the colors always seemed a little "off" once I got them rolled out in my wood-everywhere house....See MoreHelp I need to find a area rug for the living room
Comments (1)ok do I ordered a couch loveseat chair and ottaman....I have black wrought iron tables with glass top...the coffee table has 3 drawers that are reclaimed wood. The house I just moved into has a large red accent wall in the living room♀️. ok so the furniture is a dark blue/gray...the accent pillows will be this patterned material with the red accents. I want to keep a kind of modern feel but now I have no idea what size or color area rug to get. I'm thinking a solud ivory shag rug...only problem is I have a black lab and I can only imagine the shedding that will go on a ivory shag♀️...See MoreNeed help living room area rug
Comments (26)I kind of like this color palette for your room, so I might look for a rug that is less boisterous and has a light base with bits of the darker color throughout. Maybe even a bit of the color of your floor for some zip. Really like Night Train and Shoreline. If you're willing to go bolder with the green, it would be great to see something brighter and more rich than the wall color. I was going to suggest this gorgeous rug until I found out it's over $4k! These next three photos are supposedly of the same rug, but any way you go with it, I like the colors and subtle pattern for your room. The blue-grays and yellow-greens seem to work....See MoreRUGS?? Help me pick out an area rug for my living room
Comments (4)Order the rug you like in the smallest size...then if you like it, send back the "sample" and get the full size one. What is it that clashed about the ones you sent back? The room is very neutral in black white and cool gray, and the floor is warm tone. Maybe that's it. The mix of warm and cool tones...get a rug with those tones....See Moreingrid_vc so. CA zone 9
