Comments (27)How can i edit my original post to delete out the comment about the Christmas tree? People are misunderstanding me :( I'M NOT PLANNING MY ROOM AROUND THE CHRISTMAS TREE, FRIENDS lol I was simply saying that's why I didn't want built in's was because when I built this house that was my designated spot for it and I can't do that with a built in there. Y'all are so funny. I know people are crazy obsessed with Christmas so I get the confusion, people on my facebook already have their tree up! hahaha :) One of the biggest issues I am having is with artwork. I was going to put some on either side of the fireplace but when I look for lodge style artwork it looks (as my best friend lovingly puts it) like it belongs in the house of some 80 year old redneck woman living in a travel trailer and frying a deer steak LOL and yes, I hate to say I can see where she's coming from. I'm not sure how to mix none redneck art into a lodge theme/style. Deer, moose, bear, etc. all go with the lodge but all wall decor I find that have those have that 1980's redneck outdated look no matter what frame it's in....See MoreNeed help selecting an area rug for living room please
Comments (8)I have at least ten Oriental rugs of different sizes, and they do go with nearly every style. I would pick one with several different colors in your room, warm and cool, to set off all that light furniture in your beautiful space. Put one in the dining room, hall, family room, bedroom, wherever you have bare floors. With all your light wood rich and varied colors will look wonderful and give life and depth to your spaces....See Moreplease pick a rug for dining area in the living room.
Comments (12)when you get a chance, post more pics showing your entire space. stand in your doorway and shoot from left to right. post those. if the kitchen area isn't included in those, then post some for that area too. Can you paint, yes or no? even if it's white, would they let you paint? or perhaps they will if you tell them you'll paint it back before you leave (if you choose to do another color besides white) here are some options I think would work w/what you have, and some pics to display a type of layout of your furniture. look at a few of these side tables they use, and lamps. instead of the white media cab you have, I think a larger walnut, mcm, type of cabinet, or the more modern white one, larger one, would do the trick. I really like this for your tv, and a strong color for the wall it's on. (your other walls would be white) . your tv is bigger and take the place of the mirror. and this pic has the same rug I picked for you. potted plants, also notice these blinds. much better than those minis....See MoreArea Rug Help Living Room
Comments (54)Wow!! Thank you Beverly!! That’s awesome what you did with placing picture on the wall, placing the rug on the floor, and placing it in different areas. We are a bit stuck on the location of our couch and rug, as we use a wheel chair (has to be open), but based on your pictures, i think we could go up to a 10 x 14 rug size instead of the current 9 x 12 (currently pushed back to the wall). I just have to make sure there is enough room to “roll” on the floor (without the rug getting in the way). I love the colors you posted, as well as the inspirational/idea photos!! I definitely like and want one or more of the colors you posted. There is a rug currently on sale that is very similar to the one your posted (aqua and ivory). It’s a 10 x 14 for only $220 (says it’s normally $1200) with a matching runner for only $48. It’s a shag style, BUT....... I “think” I really prefer a wool rug....See MoreAnnette Holbrook(z7a)
