Undercounter Beverage Center (Perlick vs. Liebherr)
Comments (6)People here seem to really like Perlick and my impression is that it is well-made and quiet. My neightbors have the Liebherr and like it. That said, I went with a Uline because I needed the flush handle and didn't want to spend a lot of money on the wine fridge. Miele was the only other option at more than twice the price. So this is a little like your situation. I really like the Uline. This is the only item in my kitchen where I compromised at all due to price and I think I did just fine. Which is just by way of saying, I am not sure this is an item where the extra cost is justified. But that's just my own POV....See MorePerlick beverage center...
Comments (21)> Googled the drawers and they look great but didn't see a beverage center. DH and I use True in our business! Had no idea they did home. They do have a beverage center, indeed in several configurations. They introduced their residential line earlier this year (beverage center press release). Their website (link below) has a "portfolio" photo gallery of their products, including some with the racks extended or the drawers opened. The dual-zone wine/beverage fridge not in the gallery yet as they were just introduced but they have their own section (here are PDFs for the dual-zone coolers with stainless or wood glass doors) Lots of design options, including commercial-style stainless steel, glass doors surrounded by wood cabinet frames, solid doors, or stacked drawers. Same beverage center with wood overlay: Here is a link that might be useful: True residential appliances...See MoreCan a beverage center be used as an undercounter food fridge?
Comments (8)Look at Perlick for undercounter refrigeration. They have fridegs, freezers, wine coolers, drawers and combinations. Perlick makes the undercounter units used in stadiums and a lot of restaurants and bars. They are energy star rated, have a variable speed compressor, are no louder than a standard fridge, and have stainless steel drawers with glides that will hold more weight than I could figure out how to put in them. They can be integrated or have stainless fronts. We have the fridge drawers in out breakfast/coffee hutch and may put freezer drawers in our laundry room to get some counter space there....See MoreFagor undercounter beverage center? Others?
Comments (4)Careful - this company is in bankruptcy and is facing liquidation unless one of a few buyout offers goes through. It's a Spanish company that is owned by the Mondragon co-op and was the fifth largest European appliance manufacturer. I bought one of their wonderful ovens with the side-hinged door last year that is nicely made, but I don't know if I'd buy from them now until or unless their financial situation gets settled....See Morem111675
