Gold leather living room - what colors to match for tile and wall
Comments (3)I have a nice warm gold in my lounge and it reflects the light so nicely. What if you did the walls gold and then painted an accent wall in the cocoa beige and did the floor tiles in a light cocoa also. That would give you the best of all the colors. You could pull the green in with a plant. Your furniture sounds beautiful...are you able to post a picture?...See MoreMatching wooden bookcase color in living room
Comments (4)Another trick would be to get the same style, but paint or wallpaper the backs (if they have backs) in a combination of colors that unite the pieces. So for example, let's say you have a gray sofa and turquoise pillows and a beige rug. You get some wallpaper with those colors in a fun pattern and put on the backs to brighten and unite.this is just one wallpaper, but your get the idea. Notice how the oranges in the room and gray carpeting are brought into the bookcases. Of course, you could always paint them all a single color....See MoreSet or no Set for living room
Comments (19)It depends on the situation. I have a narrow, long living room (12x21) in a 1939 house. Punctuated by doors and window, I created three zones. I used the the same "set" for the seating (conversation) area in the middle. At the far end, I have a small library/desk made up of pieces that are rustic. At the front, I have a square Antique table with rattan chairs. Because of this configuration, the set works better for me. I've just removed the large TV and am now looking for original art for above my fireplace and am going to try a mirror over my sofa. If all I had was the conversation area, then I agree, mix it up with textures, solids and patterns....See Morelooking for living room rug, dining room rug and hall runners to match
