Window treatments for bedroom windows with unique ceiling

I have this set of windows in my bedroom that I do not know how to cover since my ceiling drops down. I would like privacy during day and room darkening as much as possible at night. What do you recommend?

For the arc, you can do a specialty shape shade in cellular. As for the bottom half and windows on the side, you can get room darkening cellular shades or blackout shades.

Hm. Because of the arch, I would recommend custom plantation shutters.

To my eyes that blind is very depressing. I would remove it. I prefer rooms that are bright and cheerful. I would use grommet top panels ( white or cream) on a decorative rod. Get enough lined panels so that there is ample fullness when closed. If more light control is needed I would use simple white pleated shades with the panels. White plantation shutters would be nice, too. Window treatments should look nice from the outside as well as the inside. Quite often those shades look like sheets or paper bags from the outside. Your beautiful room deserves better :).

I don't have any yet-- it's in design phase. We've decided on fabric covered vertical blinds with an angled top. Seems to have the fewest constraints, most options, and reasonable cost.

You have such a nice view I can see why you would want to retain it during the day. I'd mount one rod from wall to wall, and use drapery panels. One panel on each end and wider panels in the middle around the sliders so you can pull them closed. Use a lightweight lined fabric so you can get teh fullness you need without taking up too much space. Don't use shutters. They block a LOT of light even when open, and you would never have a clear view outdoors.

Maybe some kind of frosted privacy film is an option. It could probably just go 3/4 of the way up the window so the top could still be clear while still providing privacy for anyone in the room of normal height. Window film alone won’t be enough to block street lights that may be distracting for anyone trying to sleep. What about some kind of room darkening opaque drapes that block glare, provide privacy, but still let you see out through them enough to be able to determine if the window is open or closed?

I would do shades on the windows with a specialty shaped shade on the arch. Honeycomb shades and Roman shades are available in room darkening and arched shapes.

Since your bedroom faces neighbors, I would also look into top-down/bottom-up for the shades on the lower windows. You can let light into the room without your neighbors being able to see in.
