anyone ordered from plumbersstock.com? webfaucets.com?
Comments (16)Completely dissatisfied with their service. I ordered an American Standard toilet on July 5, 2021 with an estimated lead time of 38 days, which would be sometime around mid August. Sent them an email on August 16th wondering when they were expecting to ship out the fixture. I was then told that the estimated ship date from the warehouse would be 9/10. I checked again on 9/27 since I had not heard any news regarding shipment. I was then told, "It looks like you ordered form UT warehouse which we are getting it from the manufacturer. The option showing on the website also shows our partner vendor in TN warehouse has it in stock." Seriously, the website has no option to indicate where the fixture will be shipping from or gives you an option to get delivery from any one warehouse or the other. Now today on 9/29, when I inquired again if it was going to ship anytime soon, this is the response I get: "We are really sorry about this, but this item normally ships from the manufacturer right away, but we were just told that this item has been placed on backorder for mid of January 2022. If you are able to wait for the product we will get it shipped out as quickly as possible. If you need to cancel the order, we will issue the refund immediately. Please let us know what you decide, and again, we are really sorry for our mistake." January 2022?!!! Now I just got an email telling me that they need approval to cancel the order and to refund my money from the partner vendor. So not acceptable. They take your money and no product is ever delivered. Never going to order from these guys again!...See MoreDoes anyone else HATE their comfort height toilet?
Comments (137)I'm looking for more links Bowl-to-floor <= 15". We're a household of three 5ft 5in. people. We're renovating four bathrooms. Just ordered a Tushy Ottoman but we're really NOT happy that we literally cannot buy a high-quality toilet that's standard height. Here's the whole plan: 1. We're ordering the Kohler - Wellworth Classic: (14 1/2") for two of our bathrooms. 2. We have a nice Elongated Toto (17" height?!) and I'll be trying out the 7.5" Tushy Ottoman https://hellotushy.com/products/tushy-ottoman-toilet-stool with that. 3. And then... one of our bathrooms needs a corner standard-height toilet, and my current plan is to buy a separated High-tank toilet https://www.rensup.com/bathroom/high-tank-toilets and bowl separately. I may also check Etsy for toilet bowl makers. What has this world come to? What a drag. It is also annoying that everything is labeled "Right-height"... yeah, it's kind of offensive because the height change is marketed as a feature and so it's excluded from most website's filter bars! Since it's an additive-feature, you can't filter for the absence of "Right-height" or "ADA Compliant". It's like -- I feel like I've been in the specific set of meetings where someone has a brilliant, cost-savings idea of to unify on a single height. Brilliant mind (BM): "OK, get this, we can halve the number of products we have to produce that sit on the shelves!" Everyone else (EE): "Oh, how do we do it?!" BM: "We just pick one height!" EE: "*Contemplative silence* God. Yes. Brilliant... But... won't people be mad?" EE: "I mean, there are short people and kids..." BM: "No, no, no, we'll pick the accessible height and then market the change as a feature! This means we'll also get a competitive advantage over other toilet brands who aren't thinking about accessibility!" ~~~ *end scene* ~~~ My beef, TLDR: 1. Public toilets should be as accessible as possible. 2. Companies get to "win" by removing consumer choices. 3. I'm now googling for an artisan toilet bowl maker on Etsy. Good luck everyone. Comments (31)Since my original post, I did buy the home, closed on the 29th, but that almost didn't happen - one of the main reasons was, tada, this bathroom! During the walkthrough the day before closing I came to find out that they had to replace the shower pan, which meant, they replaced the tiles in the shower, and with them being tiles from the 60s, not only did they not match, but as a repair, it was an AWFUL job! I was pissed and upset to say the least. I couldn't understand why the owners didn't offer me the option of a credit to do the bathroom over as I saw fit, instead of doing this on their own, it just made no sense. We finally got them to give us a credit and I'll be ripping out the entire bathroom. What they paid to have done in there was just a waste of money and almost cost them the sale of the house - and cost them more at the end with the credit given. I'm still not sure what I'm going to do with this bathroom. I've taken off that gawd awful accordian door (Freecycle!) I'm looking at tiles, trying to find a 18" vanity base to free up some more floor space, probably put in bypass shower doors as I can't stand getting wet when I turn on the shower as it is now, and there's no light in the shower, so this will bring in natural light. I'm still not sure how to deal with the door. I haven't found a good door to put there. THe original door swong in, door handle on right when it was there. I'm still toying with the idea of a pocket door. I'm going to get an estimate on switching the toilet and vanity, still not sure how much of a difference it would make. Too many things and possible options. Want an elongated toilet - does anyone know who makes some really short toilets when it comes to floor space? Good source for 18" vanities? Vanity there now is 41" thinking about a 36" wide instead, will give a bit more room. So, that's my mini update on this bathroom. I've been almost 3 weeks doing non-stop cleaning. As clean as they people were/appeared, you have NO idea what I've found deep cleaning! This morning, I'm off to paint the closets in the master bathroom - they painted the bedroom, but didn't take the extra step to paint the interior of the 2 closets, so I have a tan bedroom and light green/blue closets!!!...See MoreAnyone with an American Standard "Clean" toilet?
Comments (10)Thanks Patty. We have septic systems here, but we know that sometimes a problem toilet is really a problem with the drainage lines the go from the toilet to the septic. I have a toilet that has never flushed properly since I built my house 27 years ago. I'm going to replace it soon and no matter what happens I'm going to be mad, lol. If replacing it solves the problem I'll be upset that I didn't replace it 27 years ago. If replacing it does not solve the problem, I'll be mad that I bought a new toilet for nothing and I still have to get a plumber to look at our pipes. But whichever problem it is, I intend to conquer it soon! My parents replaced their 28 year old toilet, which always worked just fine, with the AS "Clean" last year. It keeps getting clogged. We are thinking it's the toilet itself. So here we are, wondering if it's a bad toilet and we should try a different model in the current bath reno!...See MoreTrevor Ross
