Comments (11)Those tulips are so pretty. .......We had rain too last night. Since we are 7 inches below normal, and in severe drought, the 9/10ths of an inch helped some........Good to see someone else helps the wittle wabbits . It's a love hate relationship here with them. We raised one that our garden cat at the time kept dragging in no matter how far we released it. She (Ms. Bunny is what we called her) lived 8 good years in a pen. Never did get friendly, but that's the norm on wild animals. Then our garden cat passed on and the rabbits invaded like crazy eating everything including my roses. Finally got another garden cat, and he has taken care of the problem. Sometimes a tender heart such as mine gets caught between a rock and a hard place when it comes to critters and the garden...........Maryl...See MoreHusband flirting on facebook - Help Please - sorry it's so long
Comments (72)OK ladies...I need some help here. I am not married, but have been in a relationship for 14 months and we live together. I have had a problem in the past of sending suggestive messages to women online. Recently I sent a message to a girl I knew from a bar that I used to go to alot. Haven't seen this girl in probably 2 years or more maybe and were just friends and not very good friends at that. One day while she was away with her daughter at a gymnastics meet, I sent a suggestive message...which was never answered...My GF has looked through my phone on several occasions looking at who I talk to (when we first started seeing each other I was chatting with an old friend I hadnt seen for 20 years...I was very wrong in what I did there and it stopped well before she ever found it on my phone) I have messaged friends and said things that she thought suggestive and I should have worded my responses better. for instance, a friend was at a bar drinking and instead of saying as she says, I am with mhy GF I can't, I said wish I cold join you, but maybe another time. I honestly didnt mean anything by that as we had only been friends and that was it. another instance was I am in fantasy football and one of my leagues there is a girl, a friend for over 2 years and she has been seeing a friend of mine. she was new to the sport last few years and often texted me for advice. Once week while I was going to play versus her team, I reponded 'I'm gonna eat you up" - I am a former semi pro footbal player and that's just how trash talk goes...meant nothing suggestive at all...in hindsight, I now see that maybe my responses could have been much different. the message the day of the gymnastics meet was back in October...I haven't done anything since then but she still constantly monitors my facebook messaging. I honestly have not been chatting with anyone at all. I rarely even get on there at all. she see my messnger getting logged into and will send me messages to see if I will respond. sometimes I never get them because I am not even on there, or I will get them much later and respond to her. I just thought that my chat being logged in on FB was the reason. come to find out it is the Messenger App that has always been logged into on my conmputer and on my phone....I NEVER use it..but because of the thing last Oct...she doesnt believe anything I say and is even questioning a long lunch I had with my boss where we we drinking...which is what I told her I was doing. Please, please what can I do...she is going to leave me and she is newly pregnant with my child and I love her so much..I need help to try and get her to let me back in and re-gain her trust.. I am just lost and so sorry for all I have done wrong to her. but I really do love her and want to Marry her. I have been true to her 100% except the messages I spoke of and maybe a few others that I unintentionally said the wrong thing.... HELP!!!...See MoreLast call for tweaks on my layout! Questions!
Comments (14)This thread has helped me a great deal. I'm in the process of designing my kitchen for a new home we will be building (hopefully) soon. the hangup has been my klitchen . I've had kitchens a tad tight, but functioned well, and I've had the huge kitchen with too great a distance to everything, including carrying a kettle of boiling water across the kitchen to dump in the sink. I've been going around and around with wondering if the table should go in the center of the whole kitchen, (Julia Child style), or if I should I have a wonderful island, for baking and perhaps a small prep sink in it. The pros to table centered in kitchen is small steps to serve and clean up. The cons are I give up having full view of our woods. With the island the table can have full view of the woods at the end of the kitchen area, and I can have my wonderful baking island. The cons are it's a lot of steps to set the table in a kitchen that long. Twenty some feet seems long. I'm thinking the view and the use of the island would be well worth it. Comments (11)Awh shucks. Thanks for the comments. I was really nervous about actually putting the brush to the boards, so I did a few samples before. I had a long chat with the fella at Ben Moore, who suggested I prime then paint straight up or try a deck stain. I did both and didn't like either. Neither retained any on the beauty of the pine, which was what we have wanted from the start. So, I showed my GC and he gave me some grey latex paint he had and I got to playing with different treatments. Right outta the gate I mixed some cool water in with the paint (ratio was probably 1/3 water to the paint. Stirred it up with a wooden mixing stick, dipped the brush in, and swiped it over the whole board. Then I quickly took a rag and wiped the whole board down. It's not a fussy process in the least - love that - and you really have a lot of control over how much paint you want or don't want. I tried to vary the boards in depth. You can see from the picture that some boards have more or less of the paint. Tried to make it look realistic to how the sun may bleach it. I wanted that grey/blue/creamish look. (I tried white paint with water, but didn't like it as much as the grey paint). When standing in front of it, it truly looks like it's been sun bleached and there for years. I'm so tickled. Now all I need is the sand and salt air! :) I encourage you all to try it. On a skill level, I rate it EASY. I'll post some pics when all the other goodies arrive and the kitchen is complete.
