There are lots of hard wired makeup mirrors around. Before you pick one, I strongly urge you to try them out to see what level of magnification you like. We originally got a 5x magnification mirror (not lighted), and the magnification was too big to be useful! We ended up with a 4x mirror (non-lighted) that we bought from amazon.com, and the magnification is just right. Mirrors are available in everything from 2x to 10x magnification. Be sure to check out the magnification levels that will work for you.(perhaps at Bed Bath and Beyond, or your local drug store). I had cataract surgery and discovered that I could stand about a foot away from a 3x and see just right to apply eye liner. When I stand right in front of my sink, I simply turn to the right and there I am, with the mirror mounted at eye level. Anything larger than that was weird for me. I do have a separate little portable 10x for just plucking eyebrows. The lighted ones help, but you need other light sources, as those LED's aren't all that great. Hold a 3x, 5x, and 10x about as far as where your mirror would be mounted to see what works for you. With some there is a lot of distortion. -Babka

I have a SimpleHuman sensor mirror. The first one wouldn't recharge, so I exchanged it for another (free). They offer a 5 year warranty. I don't use the sensor function, because the mirror sits in a window and I only need light when it's dark out. It's easier for me to press the on button. Simple Human Sensor Mirrors

It depends on the mirrors if you are asking about actual lighted mirrors. You usually don’t get an option for K and lumens they come all ready . I also think a ceiling light would be good for light balance .
