If you are going to get a Miele, then spend a little extra and get the plus with the auto-open feature. I did this a year ago and haven't regretted it at all. There is an air circulatory that runs for a minute or so after it opens which drys the dishes better than any of the old style dishwashers I've had with the heat drying turned on.

Several thoughts: - Are you doing concrete all the way to the road? Around here, people who aren't in neighborhoods /aren't building short driveways tend to have gravel for the majority of the driveway ... then it become concrete maybe 15-20' from the garage opening. The house I grew up in, for example, sat about six acres off the road -- no way anyone would pour concrete /maintain concrete (because dirt will wash out under a drive /the drive will crack) for that length. The house I'm building will sit even farther off the road ... so we certainly will use gravel (the good gravel) for the majority of the driveway. - Have you thought this through from a guest point of view? Side garages are tough in this regard. Imagine you're a guest approaching the house -- you pull up to the end of the drive /next to the garage. Where should you enter? Through the garage probably isn't a choice, but you can't see the front door from where you are. I don't think people tend to put enough thought into the drive /guest arrival. Lots of good choices exist, but you have to think it thought for your own plan. It is better to be a little too big rather than a little too small. Except for the budget, and the OP's said that's a concern.

I like an eased edge, but for marble you want to ask the question of what is the radius, because I have seen "eased" be either 1/8" radius or 1/16" radius (more squared) - the 1/8 is preferable. Make the soap dispenser equidistant on the other side. I am not there with your sink to know exact inches distant. "Your front rail should be as small as possible. Here it's 2 3/8". You'll have to insist that your fabricator strap, not block or clip, your sink in place becausd there is no room for clips or blocking if the rail is this narrow." This is good advice if the installation wasn't happening today. We don't know whether the OP's installer will have the strap today, and if not, may need to use the more standard 3-4" width. In addition, marble is softer than the granite pictured in your photo.

It's unclear as to why you are saving a corner at the sofa for lanterns and other "stuff", and why the tv and console you now have, are jammed to a corner!
