Comments (3)Hi Mollie, You may want to consider a camel or wheat tone to go well with what you have described in your room. That would compliment the red brick and the cherry tones you would see in the kitchen AND the medium oak table (you mention it is large) so make sure the paint tone blends nicely with the wood color of the table and chairs). This color will go well with the pine floors you have now but should also be very nice if you opt for a richer tone in the future. As far as centering, the picture shows about 2/3 of the room, with a narrow area that includes a double desk and bookcase. Comments (5)The rug color is great but it is too small. When your furniture has open legs (rather than skirts) all 4 legs should be on the rug. I would prefer the art all too the right of the TV. Maybe like this picture below. A simple rule of design is to have the color show up 3 places in the room.
