Marvel Beverage Center Freezing Cans
Comments (0)Our not quite 2 year old Marvel Beverage Center has started freezing cans of soda. The adjustment goes from 1 (low) to 7 (high). It is freezing cans even on 2. The beverage center isn't even supposed to reach freezing temperature. My guess is that is isn't cycling on and off correctly. I am going to call the place I bought it (I got an extended warranty), but I am wondering if anyone know of any "self help" things I might try. The "manual" (and I use that word loosely) was useless. Thanks....See MoreWine Fridge/Beverage Center Help
Comments (11)We first bought a VinoTemp (POS). Then we bought a house with a Vinotemp (another POS) and then it died. Ended up with a Marvel floor model that is lovely (2 years of use). Be sure to go to the store and look at them in person. I was surprised and how plasticy and junky many of them were. The Marvel has pull out racks that are metal and the build just felt much better than the ULine and others we looked at....See MoreBeverage Center for wine and beer?
Comments (3)No and yes. No, the temperature for wine storage is different from beverage chilling. Beverage chilling is a much lower temperature. While you can put a few bottles in the chiller/refrigerator to cool down some wine for immediate consumption, it wouldn't be appropriate for long term storage. I purchased a Marvel stackable unit. On the bottom is a refrigerator and on the top is a wine storage unit. You are buying two units and they fasten them together with a plate at the factory. I have put water in the wine unit to cool down rather than be cold. There are lots of combinations of units at different price points, but nothing on the market that does both at the same time due to the different jobs they are designed to do....See MoreHelp with Beverage Center - Liebherr, Sub Zero, Perlick or Electrolux?
Comments (12)Here is the spec sheet RU 510. Go to Downloads and click on the PDF for Specifications. When I try to insert the correct URL their website takes you back to the product landing page. Sorry.... Temp goes to 37. Top shelf where the cokes are is split so u can remove half. Beer bottles can then go upright on the second shelf with cans behind or u can remove the entire shelf for bottles. The wire rack extends nicely . Great for wine or taller beer bottles. I think it is a waste for cans as it is deeper than a can. Bottom is moulded for wine or other bottles so they don't roll around. See the spec sheet for info on toe kick and their pic installed. Handle is also field reversible. LED lighting is great. I will try and post a pic later today....See MoreJulie Colbert
