Might guess she got in the way of me teaching the 3yr old. I remember Art well and have always wondered why no one has done an update of that show. And it would be easy to stage. My wife has a knee replacement and doesn't walk so well, 3yr old granddaughter asked "MawGaw why you walk that way". 5 yr old sister says; "Because she is OLD Reese, she's OLD". Recent study of kids and what is most important in their lives and it is grandparents. I "AM" Coach PawPaw Butchie! And Patsy is picking up grandson Noah at school as I write this. If there is anything you like about me it came from my PawPaw almost 70 yrs ago. For example if you have followed some of the things I'm doing, the bog and use of waste water comes directly from words that ring in my ears from my PawPaw. "Waste not want not" I water my plants in the bog with shower water then another bog with kitchen sink and washer water. I capture rain water and use it. If I throw anything in the garbage that can be recycled I know MY PawPaw is watching. So, I was trying to be the PawPaw for that 3yr old who is not my blood as well as my grandchildren like the PawPaw who let me ride the horse while he plowed. Here is a link that might be useful: waste water...See MoreToo much info, but he'll never know
Comments (5)Too funny! A few years ago when I went to workout with my trainer, he had his 4yr.old son at his gym with him that day- I was wearing a jog bra under my sweat jacket and shorts. When I took off my jacket his son said. You're naked! I blushed and had to give him the child version of what I was wearing. He still insisted I was "naked"....See MoreHonest kids and the things they say
Comments (9)When my youngest son was 4 or 5 yrs old, one day at the dinner table, he blurted out, "I know why there are two parents!" We exchanged glances and thought, "So soon. What do we say?" My son went on to explain, "Its because if I am hungry and one of you are busy, the other one can feed me." That very logical statement gave us a sigh of relief, and at the same time, defined our station in the family unit. It deflated any grandiose thoughts that we might have entertained about being a minor Deity to him....See MoreThings kids say!
Comments (8)Oo, I have a story, well, I got lots, but here's one about what kids say. My youngest was a late talker compared to his brother and sister. They chattered away at a very early age, but not him. Even when he did talk he'd never use 2 words when one would do. Sometimes I even started to worry a little, but he understood everything that anyone said to him, so I figured he'd talk when he felt he had something to say. I used to take him for a daily walk unless the weather was really bad. This was one of his great pleasures. Of course, as winter nears, you start digging out their little hats, warm coats and mittens. On this particular day I couldn't find his mitts. I was hunting under chairs, in the bottom of the closet, up on the shelf, while he kept hopping from one foot to the other and trying to open the door. I kept explaining we'd go in a minute, as soon as I got his mittens on. He turned to me and said his first sentence. "Me no need no mittens!" I knew he'd talk when he had something to say!...See More- 8 years agolast modified: 8 years ago
