Comments (28)I have the 24" micro drawer. It is the same micro with less side trim than the 30" drawer. They made the 30" first and showed it stacked with an oven, WD or range --that's apparently how they thought it would sell and why they made 30" fist. I think the 24" has been the more popular model from what I've seen. Mine is the original version, but I understand there is a newer version that is about an inch or so taller. That could make the difference whether certain tall mugs would fit, but most things on plates adn in casseroles - the kinds of things I generally put in a micro, fit fine. My WD opposite the cooktop works fine for us. I'd rather have the WD there and the micro on the main wall if you could do that....See MoreAn alternative for pot and pans storage
Comments (6)thanks for this post! I did not even know something like this was available. Great idea for storage and I am looking for (after market) storage for my new cabinets. Our cabinets did not have a many fancy storage choices, but I figured I could find some storage options...and I love this! Can you tell me what size this cabinet is? looks as if is at least a 24". We will have a 24" just to the right of the new range and this would be perfect if it fits! Do they make several sizes? As far as noise, I know I make noise digging/looking for the right pan in a regular cabinet! ...so not a bother,,,your going to make noise in the kitchen one way or another. I will check on ebay!! thanks for the post!!...See MorePots/Pans pullout storage - Rev A Shelf Opinions?
Comments (9)july- I have the pot rack you posted. I posted a thread back in march asking if anyone had it and liked it. Didn't get a ton of response, but the ones I got were favorable. So I went ahead and ordered it. Now 9 months later, my kitchen reno still hasn't started. I couple months ago I asked my DH to install it into the existing cabinet where we keep our pots and pans. Before I had this rack, I had to make sure my cats were out of the room as the noise of extracting a pot from the jumble was very loud and scared the *cat food* out of them. Anyway, I LOVE IT! Life changing. My pots and pans have a specified slot to go into, it's not loud to take them out. It's just great. Now, my 2 (13") largest pans do not fit in it, but the majority do fit. I will just have to find some place to store those really big pans, which is no big deal. In my current kitchen I have it installed so that you have to open the (existing) doors and then pull out. New kitchen will have it installed with a panel in front like in the picture you posted....See MoreNew pot and pan storage!
Comments (52)@john -- the BCC pot is actually tin-lined. They just restarted production last year. I agree though, I don't see the point of this type of construction in a stock pot. Any decent thick-based pot will do just fine. I have a 2mm copper stock pot that I got off Ebay for $60. Yes, it simmers wonderfully and is beautiful but it wasn't $1K or even $770. $400 is a much better price, but still.... I read that the newer Mauviel and all of the e.Dehillerin stuff has bronze handles due to a fire at the cast iron handle supplier. I have bronze handles on a few tinned pieces and they still get really hot....See Moresalex
