Help with final refrigerator choice please
Comments (5)Someone in another thread mentioned a product (like a wax or polish) that you put on the stainless steel that keeps it from smudging and showing fingerprints. I believe the poster said it worked very well. Not to mention that some stainless just doesn't smudge up easily. Some stainless also takes magnets, so it's worth testing it all out first. If something is recently discontinued, you can probably find a unit that's already been shipped and is in some store's inventory--or sometimes even the manufacturer's--that you can get a good deal on, besides the feature you like. I can't be sure what your priorities are from your post, but unless you really really want that deli drawer, I'd say that the look and surface are more important. My reasoning is that the lack of drawer or loss of other space will only annoy you when the fridge is open. The wrong color or surface material will annoy you every time you look at the unit. :-)...See MoreDown to final backsplash choices - help?
Comments (7)Thanks - I guess I just need to set something on top of the counter so I have a line to caulk under and not just in front of the tile? I need to set something on the counter as a ledger to do behind the stove anyway. I don't want some of my tiles sitting on the counter and some slipping behind it - you can see last tile on the left I propped on the counter leaned against the wall, the one next to it actually slipped behind but stopped - as I get closer to the sink (to left) the gap gets wider and I was afraid I'd lose a tile if I placed more for pictures!...See Morehelp please with sitting area final choices
Comments (71)Those are also very pretty rugs. I particularly like the last one you linked. I was also thinking brown would be a good choice; though was not sure if hand-knotted was in your budget. One thing I found frustrating on Overstock is the colors are not accurately depicted with the online pics. If you read through the reviews you will notice how many people comment on that and it seems not many reviews for handknotted rugs. One piece of advice I had received is to rely more on the written description as far as colors and less on the pictures. Another thing that I noticed from another poster as well as with the rug that I purchased, is that the background is not uniform, but more blotchy with the "abrash" affect. If often gives a richer look, but again, may be a surprise as does not show up well in online pics. Is that the right size as they seemed a tad small. It would be helpful to mark that out on your floor along with the different ottoman sizes. One thing I was wondering is if you have the space for the ottoman. Do you plan to use the recliner feature with the Chloe chairs? If so, you will need open floor space for that....See MoreAre these my final granite choices? And Kitchen granite vote
Comments (47)Now that you pasted both close to the bahia, I am even firmer about liking the (now) first one with it. It echoes the bahia better. However, I think I'd consider stainless for at least the sink area. It would be a mellow backdrop and allow the marble sink to show off more. It would also be very functional around the cooktop.... You could use as much citrus or other acids as you want ;) You'd be giving your fiance the bulletproof areas he wants and letting the bahia and marble be more noticeable....See Morelakindle
