Wow, four years, it doesn't seem possible. Well, it didn't work out; and I was still trying to resolve it up to this spring. My wife simply buys new lights when the others die; that was our final solution. I've read up on it, and the failure of rechargeable outdoor lights seems to be a complicated issue ranging from solar panel failure, to corrosion, to battery failure, to fogged over panels. My sense is that the industry puts out a crappy product, with a shelf life of a year or two, and is not repairable, in the hope that people will buy more. There may be good ones out there, but they probably cost a lot of money.

How would one integrate the amorphous panel into a series of individual lights throughout the entire garden?
