Summer, I love the color of your mat!! Nicole, you do live in a gorgeous part of the country. Everybody, great pictures as usual. Mine is my hellebore, also known as Lenten Rose. It's the first of my flowers to bloom every year. It was a bit late this year probably because we had a two week stretch of extreme cold. We had snow move through early this morning, though it didn't amount to anything. We are not out of the cold yet. The occasional warm days are such teasers!

Redwing blackbirds are one of my favorite birds. They don't come to my yard, but I see them when I drive out into the country.

I too like to see them, but our environment has changed over the years so I don't see them around our house any more. So pretty, though I understand in some areas, they are so numerous as to be a pest.
