Comments (22)I would also say check your cable provider. We got a new box with much faster download speeds. Previously, we could not have the laptops running if someone was watching streaming Netflix, but now we have enough bandwidth to run everything. We have Amazon Prime now, but we dropped Netflix streaming awhile ago because a lot of the series we wanted to watch were not available. No HBO programming is available streaming. SInce we got Prime, we suspended the Netflix. DH has had the account forever and just deactivates and reactivates it when he wants to....See MoreJust cancelled Netflix
Comments (13)If some of you folks are gregarious ... ... and have friends with similar tastes ... ... how about inviting friends over for a movie night ... ... and, after a few such successful evenings ... ... suggest that you share the fee for the service? Comments (47)Linelle, I don't know anything about Amazon Household. I'm the one with the Amazon account in my house. Usually dh just sends me a link to something on Amazon when he wants to order something, but he could easily log in using my username and password. My mom uses my Amazon account to watch videos on her iPad. I just logged into Amazon Prime on her iPad with my username and password, and she can now watch movies. She and my father have a regular Amazon account, and she doesn't usually need 2-day shipping but a couple of times when she needed something quickly, I have just ordered it for her. Her credit card number is saved in my account. I have an address book in Amazon with addresses saved for people I occasionally send gifts to (my relatives). When I place an order, you have the option to choose the method of payment and address for shipping so I just switch to my mom's credit card and address when she wants me to buy something for her. You could always do that with your daughter if she doesn't or can't set up a Household account, assuming you don't mind if she has your credit card saved in her account. Or, she could give you her log in information and you can just order things right from her account using your own credit card....See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
