Well, it was an impulse Craigslist buy, and I picked up the pair this morning. They are quite tall and narrow, and instead of the double vanity area, I tried them on either side of the bed in our master. Oh my gosh, is all I can say. They really look great! Our woodwork is painted a creamy white, and the mirrors work perfectly. They are chunky, but next to windows on a large wall in an otherwise understated place, they really work. Now, I just need to update our bedding and add drapery panels over the sheers. cyn - Thanks, and they are cool enough that I wouldn't mind moving the lighting for them. I'm not sure if they would be too much in a small room, but the master can handle their size. jakabedy - You are right in that they came from a dresser. The creative lady who purchased the dresser and mirrors separated them and painted the mirrors the creamy color and the dresser a fun blue. She said it was a 50's style brown dresser set. Everything was in perfect condition. It's amazing what a coat of paint can do.

Don't have the blinds down and then say there isn't enough light. Drapery panels will be better for this room and if necessary blinds that pull up instead of down. Any mirror should be at either head of the table or 90 degrees to the window to catch the best light., but it looks like there is no room at one end of the table for anything.

Build.com lets you search and sort by width, # of bulbs and a bunch of other criteria. I just did a quick search for 3 bulb vanity lights between 15-20 wide. ***Re: blinding light. I chose a light fixture that's dimmer compatible, and put in dimmable LED bulbs and a dimmer switch. It's my guest bathroom - guests getting up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom will appreciate the dimming capability.*** On build.com, and some other sites, you can then compare up to four at a time:
