Dude, great posting. We have mucho rocks in our shade garden as well. Now, however, I must suggest that you don't need to haul 400 #'ers all the way back from CT to MI! Wait, let's trade! I'm in NW MI and have that size and MUCH BIGGER, willing to trade for rare and unusual Hosta. I might even be persuaded to help with the load. I have an electric gearmotor device that attaches into the trailer receptacle on the back of my pickup truck. The load plate lowers right to the ground, roll, drag, or comealong the boulder on, then it swivels it right up to the back of the bed of the truck to be pushed, drug, or otherwise persuaded in so the door can be closed. This last step is needed as my driveway is very steep, so can't have boulders rolling out the back and on down the driveway. Wouldn't want to hurt the sugarbush down there at the end. Seriously, CT is a long way to haul boulders from. We have plenty right here in MI if ya know where to go, and I have them right here on the property. Some of my neighbors actually 'mine' them for sale!

In a change of timing, in a positive way, the trees are scheduled to be delivered Sunday between 12-3pm central time. The sooner the better.

Would advise abandoning this idea entirely. Too much risk. Falling-risk on an older person with this body mass is tremendous. Be very careful. Stools and step-ladders, in particular, I would stay away from. If at all possible, suggest renting a mini-van. If your mother is more-or-less "normal" height, I think you'll find the seating surface pretty closely matches her fanny's height while she's standing. All she'll have to do is back up to the seat edge and slide on. The Chrysler versions also have a handle-assist on the door frame so she can help herself and feel more secure.

About 10 years ago, my husband and I moved to a new house in a new development. Only one street in and out, with just 12 houses total in the development. I got up to go to work one morning and noticed that one of my husband's truck was not in the driveway. This was not unusual as he has two and he often let his staff drive one overnight if they had personal car trouble. BUT, as I was driving to work, I thought, geez--wasn't his truck in the driveway when I shut the garage door before bed? So I turned around, drove back home, went inside and asked my husband, "where's your truck?". His answer "outside", me: "no, it's not", him: "yes, it is:. Me: "NO, IT's NOT". He goes outside and of course his truck is not there. Call the county sheriff office and he says "I'll be right there". Less than 5 seconds later, he's coming down the street from the cul-de-sac. Every house on our street that had a vehicle outside of the garage was broken into, and when they got to our house, they stole the truck to haul everything off! The truck was recovered 3 days later in another county after they ran out of gas. We couldn't believe not one single person on the street heard anything that night!
