Comments (11)A light gray block wall would not do the Thunbergia blossoms justice, they would be lost, but he Senecio will really 'pop' against the blocks. And the tree bark would be a very complimentary background for the Thunbergia. Just my humble opinion. Rusty...See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - Sa 7/2/22

Comments (18)I am grateful -- and so very blessed-- to have been living in Florid during the pandemic. We got back to "normal" quickly. Hearing about continuing "restriction" from family in OH, CO, PA MD, CA, etc. was upsetting. We weren't allowed to attend twin Grandkids HS Graduation in CO, because each child was only allowed 2 guests. Even though they were graduating 400. In Red Rocks Ampitheater, an outdoor venue that seats 9500! On Friday nights during their Senior year, I could hear our HS football games. Grandson lost out on a College wrestling scholarship. My Grands had no Homecoming, no Prom. Our local kids had their Senior year as normal....See MoreI'll show you mine/you show me yours - F 12/2/22

8 years agoI love the pictures today!! I did not take this picture. My friend did. This is Fiona the baby hippo at the Cincinnati Zoo. It was warm enough a couple of days ago that she could come outside with her mom, Bibi. Fiona is just a year old. She only weighed 29 lbs at birth (a bit premature) and was hand raised until she was big enough to meet and join her mom and dad. Dad has passed away. It's been a hard year for Fiona, but she now weighs over 700 lbs!! That is an amazing weight gain in one year! Her mom weighs 3500 lbs I believe.

8 years agoAt Bartholdi Park, behind the United States Botanical Garden in D.C. I came across this pomegranate tree growing outside in December. Wonder if it survives the winter or is replaced each year.
