Curling is king!

I like all the downhill skiing events. And the snowboard racing! Oh my, what a thriller!

We are watching. The color is fantastic. We just got our new TV and oh my goodness what beautiful colors and scenery. Yes I like that same event phoggie. Tonight I really enjoy the "dancing" on ice. The brother and sister from USA were awesome. I like snowboarding too. The girls snowboarding off that huge high ramp was very exciting. I would fall asleep during curling lol.

Speed skating! The winter Olympics are beautiful to watch!

My wife watches some of it, I don't.

The skiers were just mind-boggling. So much talent .

I love all the skating and curling.

I like the luge -- zoom! Last night they showed some black & white footage of 4-man luge ... all those big men on an open toboggan sled in heavy sweaters -- now that was winter sports! I like the cross-country skiing too. Those people work so hard. Curling coverage has been good. Such concentration in their eyes as they push off and let the stone go at p r e c i s e l y the right time and angle.

Figure Skating for sure. I felt so bad when Nathan Chen fell on his first appearance...but loved him sticking the 6 quads the other day. Just wish he

could have been perfect all along.

Here is a cute story about the 96 year old grandmother of the bronze medalist in the women's halfpipe snowboard. Fran, the grandmother, lives at the same senior living place as my Mom and was indeed a very proud grandmother when I saw her during happy hour the next day. I love her last comment in the article.

Fran, Arielle's grandmother

Mojomom...what a cute article. But I kind of agree with Grandma.

Uptown gal....I also felt so sorry for Chen’s fall...he was awesome!

Overnight Canada and Germany both won gold in the 2-man bobsled. Their times, over 4 runs, was exactly the same. What was so cool was watching the two teams high-fiving and hugging each other. They were both so excited. Like so many sports at this level. they race and compete against one another week after week all season.

I really enjoy all the figure skating events, men's, women's, singles, doubles, and especially the ice dancing! The talent, grace, and ability is simply mind boggling. And I can't help but wonder, when they do those long spins, why in the world don't they get dizzy? ? ?

I like to watch the snow boarding and the half pipes, too. And some of the skiing. I guess I like a little of almost all of it, except hockey.

I haven't watched all of it, just some in the evenings, so there are lots of events I've missed. The Skeleton was new to me this year, don't think I've seen it in past Winter Olympics.

Rusty

Along with all their astounding athletic talent, I am impressed with what a good looking bunch they are, from all countries. Those young skiers pop off their goggles and -- wowza.

Rusty Scott Hamilton explained the spinning and dizziness. He said that they learn to spin in the same direction all of the time, and the body adjusts. If they spin in the opposite direction, then they do get very dizzy.

Most skaters spin counter clockwise however there is no rule that says you have to do so. If you ever see a skater who spins clockwise it looks really weird. There have been a couple on the world scene but I don;t remember who they are.

I've been thinking the same thing, dedtired. They really easy on the eyes. Makes an octogenarian like me sit up and take notice.

Loving the half pipe! A lot of the skiers live here in Colorado.

I have watched very little. Not much interest in it, but if I did watch, I would watch figure skating.
