Any reviews of J & K Cabinetry?
Comments (74)I’ve had j and k for a few years now and so far they are in great shape. Never had any issues thus far. Every wood cabinet no matter the brand will have paint chips or may need to be repainted, etc. after years of use. It’s normal wear and tear. If hinges/soft close have issues then replace them. If you don’t like the doors then after a few years then just replace the doors with whatever brand suits you. Will be much less then replacing an entire kitchen. This goes for any brand cabinet. Like I said I have not had any issues so far. I was quoted 16-21k for my kitchen with different companies. That was way out of my budget. We decided to purchase and assemble the cabinets ourselves and our kitchen came out beautiful. We only spent about 5k. We then sold our home and installed JK in our new home. Which we spent about 5.2k. The kitchens were not small either. We are not contractors nor flip homes. Just a typical home owner. I do recommend jk unless you have the budget to spend thousand and thousands in a kitchen for custom cabinets....See MoreJ&K Cabinets
Comments (2)Chinese, so hit or miss on quality. Ok-ish for flips or rentals but probably not anything you want to live with long-term....See MoreRTA cabinets, J&K or Cabinet Joint?
Comments (24)I know this thread is old, but for those that find it looking for direction, I'll give my experiences. I did Conestoga for my own remodel. It was an extensive and very very customized order. $22k, from Home Depot it was $32k. Lowes wouldn't even quote it, the plan was so custom. Every cabinet was individually designed to look like a piece of furniture with legs. I have no run of cabinets anywhere, each section is separate with finished sides. I couldn't have been happier with the value, quality, look, and cost. I LOVE my kitchen. The finish on these are impeccable, smooth as silk and the maple stained and glaze is absolutely beautiful. A couple years later I remodeled my daughter's kitchen and used them again. We ordered cherry wood and I regret it. The look was good, but the wood was not quality and I had 2 pieces snap in half during install. Also, several issues with the ordering process. If you go Conestoga with lots of customizing, be prepared to spend quite a bit of time making sure the order is correct. Recently I did a rental house with RTA cabs from a place I found online. I didn't expect much for $2500, but was impressed! They were nicely done and while not very customized, the quality was on par with Conestoga! I think it was rtaonline.com...See MoreHelp- Shiloh Aspect or J&k cabinetry or Shiloh eclipse?
Comments (37)Aspect is their entry level cabinet. Regular Shiloh is framed and better quality than Aspect. Eclipse is frameless and also better quality than Aspect. teacher, TFL is a great price point in material in Eclipse. I have sold quite a bit of it and have it on display in my showroom. I have yet to hear about any peeling. nhb, Bayou is a great taupey warm gray stain. I've never done it with a glaze but I do have pics of a small galley kitchen I did. We did the Heritage door in a PARTIAL OVERLAY, not FULL. Countertops are Viatera Quartz, color "Aria". Belcastel hardware in aged iron by Jeffrey Alexander. And I believe the backsplash is Daltile Biscuit Gloss. Here it is: Shiloh ASPECT series Heritage bayou partial overlay w/ slab drawers....See Morekazmom
