bathroom mirror placement
Comments (4)Quick answer is yes...you can do either, but I'd probably do the 36" but allow room to frame it as these days framed bath mirrors are more in style....See Morequick question about bathroom tile
Comments (30)My first glance didn't see the border as "too much", until it was focused on. Then it did seem a bit large. I would live with this for a while and add details as others mentioned. You could play with the tile using contact paper to change tile size, add black trim ect. But even the inspiration pics, there are things I would change. Final thoughts are the pattern is is a bit large and yes to wider black trim. A half round black on top of the upper tiles would work as a detail and easy to install. Not sure painting tiles is the answer. Love the BW ticking shower curtain shown. I just finished my kitchen with BW tile and bead board to bring back the feeling of my little 50s house. It is great to know others are around that have some comfort with this style....See Morequick bathroom update question
Comments (5)Sliding glass doors have definitely gone out of favor, so I would not install sliding glass doors. Its hard to clean the tracks, and most are made relatively cheaply, with hardware that doesn't hold up well over time. I would use a nice quality decorative shower curtain and a waterproof liner, and you can just replace the liner whenever it gets dingy or hard to clean. Also use one of the curved shower curtain rods that give you a little more elbow room in the shower. It really makes it feel more spacious. Bruce...See MoreQuick Bathroom Tile Question
Comments (7)The first row towards the wall, that you have up there, should be sanded off on the wall edge, so that it is directly in line with the tiles up above. Once you do that and get that row right, the rest of your tiles should fit in properly the way they once were. None of the tiles will look good, if that first row over to the right, is all wrong. You also need waterproofing on the drywall mud, that I see on top of the blue membrane. That drywall mud that is there, also needs to be sanded, so its flat, so your tiles will all lay flat....See Moresongbird07
