LG Viatera Quartz

Has anyone used this recently? I see old posts, some of which people say they heard it’s prone to chipping. We are very close to ordering Cirrus of this brand and wanted to see if people that actually have it (or have installed it) have had problems with it chipping or anything else. Thanks!

All quartz can chip. That’s normal. Don’t get a square edge.

I have it, was installed this past fall. There are MANY threads here about this material. Most are very positive. Experiences with chipping exist, but that would not be specific to a brand. Engineered quartz is pretty much the same among the well-know brands. LG Viatera is not "prone to chipping" any more than any other brand.

I had a couple of countertop companies tell me that the lg product is just as good as the other quartz companies. I have not seen the Denali in person but I have seen Geneva. Just a thought about Silestone - they put Microban (an antimicrobial) in their product. You can do some research on it; I would not want it in my own home.

Is polishing acetone rub marks out of quartz possible?

We had th same issue, we halblack quartz and had hand prints and faded spots, we tried everything to remove them, finally called contractor back and they use acetone on microfiber cloth, then used Tenax Quartz toner, our tops look amazing now. we were told not to touch the tops until the next day so the toner can dry….hope this helps

I think it falls in the middle allowing you to move it in either direction. It’s a bright white with dual color veins - silver/gold. We wanted a warmer kitchen and we’re able to achieve this by bringing out the gold/bronze with the hardware and wood floors. I think you could do same with cooler tones. The two tone color variation makes it very versatile.

We had LG Viatera (Intermezzo) in our previous home and absolutely loved it. No chipping at all, no problems, maintanence free. Always looked beautiful. We now have granite again when we had to move (already installed where we are now) and I’m thinking of ripping it out and getting quartz again. I would definitely recommend LG Viatera
