What's the problem with calling them? Isn't that a normal thing to do with any business you wish to change or end your relationship with?

There is no phone. They want all communication with them to be by chat mail. I have reason not to trust them, and need to cancel the auto-renewal. They do not make it it easy. Just wondering if there was any info on AVG that I could find out about. Besides, no offense, but I don't speak Hindi.

Thank you very much sir. You are absolutely right. I do admire people who have the ability that the tech support people have. I have proven how dumb I am. They probably don't enjoy talking to me either.

They do like speaking to you, as long as you treat them with the same respect you expect from them. Remember that the company that you purchased your product from is the company that hired their support staff, and they support their product per guidelines from the company. The support staff is just doing the job they were hired to do. Don't blame the foreigner for being foreign.

I'm very respectful of those tech guys. They have knowledge, I envy. They have always been very polite. Don't have any problem with the people. Have a problem with the program. Problem has been solved.

Steph, read the comment above you. Problem was solved a month ago. And uninstalling the program doesnt cancel one’s subscription, it just gets rid of the program you’re still paying for.

that's true... just wondered why - in case I decide to switch again and wonder about them... won't go with someone who wants a cc#.

AVG is well-known and well-respected and has been around for a long time. A vague assertion that "I have reason not to trust them," without any specifics, is not very meaningful for me....
