Flooring Design Dilemma Basements

Help! What's the best wall color to go with Sterling Oak Vinyl floor?

I'm getting Sterling Oak Vinyl floor for my basement and need a great wall color to compliment it. Not sure if I should go with a warm gray like BM Gray Owl or a cool/blue gray like BM Bunny Gray. Or other suggestions welcome!

i just typed in the name and living room... then hit images on google... look at all the living room pics with that flooring and find what you thinks best... save pic and go to lowes and find all paint samples in that color tent and put them next to the flooring when you get home..

I personally like neutral tans, greens, or an accented red color. In my home, I used champagne gold in the living room and in the bedroom used a sage with swiss coffee accents. Here is a link that might be useful: Just Your Floors

We went with natural red oak - we love the lighter flooring throughout our home - and a contrasting stained white oak cabinet (I think it’s with special walnut). Contrast is more restrained in person and cabs are darker than we envisioned - originally we were thinking less contrast - but we’re very happy with how it turned out! We also have a good amount of white in the kitchen.

I have just had my walls painted. Now going to do the flooring. So glad I waited to do the flooring. The painting and new blinds make the rooms look so much brighter. Previously considered the Calypso oak before the painting and was hesitant. Does it have a warmer golden or honey cast to it. Pictures don't seem to be accurate. I need a lighter color don't want anything that is dark and going to show the dust etc. Some of the lighter colors looked washed out. Don't want a golden color either but would prefer it be a warmer look. Do you like the Calypso oak and is it easy to clean.

What did both of you decide for the wall color? I have sterling oak as well for my basement floor and looking for a darker color for my accent wall. Any suggestions you can all share?

I used Benjamin Moore Bunny Gray.... here are pics of what it looks like with the floor

We used sterling oak with white trim and Repose Gray from Sherwin Williams. Love it!
