Sherean; I've had the GE Induction Range for about 6 weeks. Switched over from a Sears Smooth top range, with which I despised greatly. I grew up cooking with gas. I LOVE LOVE LOVE (did I mention I love this range?) this range. I will be redoing my kitchen this summer, we bought this range early b/c Sears had a fabulous sale in October (I got it for $2159). I also decided against wall ovens as I have a convection micro: that and the range provide plenty of oven space. I love the responsiveness of the burners (the middle warming hob is radiant, not induction, btw -- not a problem). The Convection oven is large, has worked wonderfully. The warming drawer was fabulous at Christmas -- we had many people over 5 hours and it really worked well at staging the biscuits and meat. The rangetop is a joy and soooo easy to clean, compared to that #$^%%$# smoothtop that is sitting in my garage. My only complaint thus far is that fingertips show easily on the control panel - but disappear easily with a microfibre cloth. Oh, and the timer has a weenie beep, compared to the ^%$^&^%$%% old smoothtop. I bought a Circulon Infinite set and a Henckels International Classic Clad. I have been very pleased with both sets. One word of warning, it took 3 delivery dates to get the range, it was delievered 6 weeks after I bought it. Plan accordingly. Here's a link where I have 2 posts discussing more about the range. We have the GE Profile FD and love it. It was our third new fridge in 6 weeks, as we went through two Bosch SxS models, neither of which would cool. The GE's been great...no issues at all, and because of the previous problems, I keep a fridge thermometer in it all the time...it holds its temp perfectly. We've had it for two months (admittedly, not long) and I'd give it 4.5 stars. DH insisted we had to have water in the door, so that ruled out lots of FD models. My only (small) complaint is the water well that catches drips in the door is quite small, and it sometimes overruns onto the floor when it's full and we swing the door open. But that's a small problem and infrequent. Would definitely buy it again...

I redid my kitchen 2 years ago and after a ton of research, ended up with Kitchen Aid 30” electric convection wall ovens. I narrowed it down to Kitchen Aid (sister of JennAir) or Bosch and KA had the better warranty. I wanted a workhorse that wasn’t a smart or steam oven and took a poll of all the people I know who really bake a lot and both Kitchen Aid and GE electric wall ovens were the favorites(many in addition to a high end range like Wolf). So far, my ovens have been fantastic—even heat and quiet enough that my husband accidentally left the oven on. They do take about 15-20 minutes to preheat to 400 degrees. I haven’t had any chipping issues but I never use self clean (several appliance guys have independently told me not to, regardless of brand, because you have too high a chance of frying the motherboard). FWIW, I am in the Midwest and have had a DCS gas oven and GE electric oven in the past.

The Profile has the ability to sync the two left-hand elements but its elements are smaller (largest: 9", 8"). The Kitchenaid's two largest elements are 10". Home Depot owners seem to like the Kitchenaid better. IKEA is selling its FÖRVÄLLA and NEDDRAGEN radiant cooktops -- yes, they have knobs -- with 9" elements for a remarkable $500 and $430, respectively. I expect most buyers are purchasing induction cooktops such as the Frigidaire Professional FPIC3077RF instead of radiant models.
