Have you had a dog pass from CHF?

My dog has CHF, declining kidneys and chronic bronchitis. He is not in any pain and the Vet can’t believe how sprite he is considering his diagnosis. He takes medicine several times a day. I have recently noticed a difference in his behavior and took him to the Vet. I have also made an appointment with his cardiologist. I spoke with his Vet and he assured me that the differences I have noticed are due to his age and not a stroke or loss of sight. I wondered if anyone has lost a pet to CHF what the end looks like, as I want to prepare myself emotionally, my dog has been my best friend for almost 15 years. I won’t allow my little guy to be in any pain and truly take great care of him. I read that pets become disoriented in the end with CHF and then pass in their sleep.
