I've been told that the fine fiber-like growths that emerge from the stems at the leaf nodes are a characteristic of anacampseros rufescens but obviously anacampseros rufescens looks nothing like this plant. This plant belongs to a friend of mine and I let him know that it could use some more sunshine I'll see if he can send some updated photos if it has changed at all as well in case that might help :)

Well that was interesting. Messy flower, same shape leaves and growth pattern. Some sites called it a Hylotelephium spectabile, the others said a Sedum spectabile as you said. Could it be a classification change do you think? Oh year, and pink flowers; -) Maybe I was away while it was blooming...

I actually spritz my lithops when they need water, because they require such little water but if I were you I wouldn't water them. not til fall. It would also be good to get them planted into 100% pumice. Your echeveria will need a different type of soil mix which you can find some good suggestions on the forum. Usually 50% cactus and succulent mix from the store and 50%pumice or 50% perlite. Watering your echeverias will be good once a week make sure you water enough to let it run out the bottom.Just make sure the soil is completely try. Lifting the pot to see if it's light and examining the top of the soil will help you determine this. You can also stick a chop stick down to the bottom of the pot and if you have moisture on the chop stick when it comes out its good to water. The lithops like a little shade. Not full like. They do really good inside. Your echeveria likes full morning sun. But should slowly be introduced to the sun so it doesn't burn. It's a pretty rookie mistake to love your lithops to death. So neglect is important once you get them into the pumice. IDing lithops that are NOID is almost impossible. You might be able to narrow them down when they flower, when you find out if the flower is white or yellow, but it will still be really hard. Your echeverias looks like a lilacina, hopefully someone will confirm that though. Good luck!

BUT they need to be slowly acclimatized to outdoors sun. Doesn't matter how sunny window they are in indoors, outdoors direct sun is much stronger. So bringing them in and out for just hours a day or few days at the time is not good for plants. Either keep them indoors (and they may or may not get etiolated), or bring them outdoors as early in Spring as possible, and leave them there...
