Comments (18)Well, Cath, I'm not sure about a book... but I did at one point have a one act children's ballet sketched out in in my mind in which all these characters come to life and dance and interact with a child whose mother has just been going through the garden with her, telling her all about the old roses and their names and back stories. Mother goes back indoors, and the garden kind of melts away, morphing into a grand ballroom where the little girl meets everyone 'in the flesh'. Lots of opportunities for delicious costumes, nice little 'character' solos, mimes and pas de deux's etc ensue... until, of course, she ultimately finds herself back in the garden, curled up on the garden swing, having been asleep and dreaming... KS, I must apologise again for going so far OT - I think I probably should have started a separate thread to indulge my fantasies. But there again. who knows where such delicious photos of old roses will take us... :-)...See MoreRoses "N" 2017
Comments (6)Oh my, Beth, New Imagine is gorgeous! Really like the red and yellow Novelty also. Tell me more about it--like is it BS resistant? Norwich Cathedral is nice also. Haven't got any "n's"--but a couple good "o's" for next time around. Kate...See MoreRoses "R" 2017
Comments (12)Beth---I need some cuttings of Raspberry Swirls. Get in touch with me some how, some way. This rose is about to disappear. Hear is what I have; Remember Me Randy Scott I also grow Renegade. A beautiful red/white blend mini. I don't have a decent picture of it. I'll have to concentrate on getting some good shots this year....See MoreRoses "S" 2017
Comments (30)I can add a few to the list. The posting is not quite working right for me, but the first picture is a rare bloom on Silver Spoon. Next is a spray on Signature. The next one is what happens when I don't get Sir Edward Elgar pruned down in time in the spring. It is a giant mass of bright pink flowers, and it repeats all season with plenty of them. The next one is Souvenir du Alphonse Lavallee, hybrid perpetual that has never rebloomed for me and is very prone to blackspot. The next one is one that doesn't get posted much. It is a bloom on Sunsation, also known as Veldfire. The last one is a nice flower on Sunshine Daydream. I hope you like these....See Moredublinbay z6 (KS)
