curbless shower install

We are in the process of remodeling our master bathroom. It is a small 7x7 room and are doing a complete gut and a new layout of bathroom. Will be using a hanging toilet and a curbless shower to make the bathroom appear larger. The floor is concrete and the house was built in the 1960s. The old shower was removed and the concrete was removed to the toilet flange. I have not installed a curbless shower before. Need advise on two areas to ensure I am doing this correctly. The shower will be 30" x 60" and use a rain shower head.

1. What should the length and location of linear drain be.

2. Is preparing the floor the same as a curb shower? Pour and tie slab for shower 4" inches below top of concrete, place a barrier (noble), dry pack with a 1/4" per 12" slope, let dry and lay tile.
