Question for Medium Brown Stained Hardwood Floor Owners

Comments (9)With Red Oak you want to ensure you work with a colour that tones down the "salmon" colour. To 'kill' red, you need green undertones. Jacobean has green undertones. And the next thing you want to work with is a WATER BASED polyurethane. The oil based or oil modified products "amber" or turn yellow or orange ALL BY THEMSELVES. Just make sure the finish you plan on using is compatible with Minwax oil based stains.
