Need help to decorate my living room(basement)
Comments (14)yh. i thought about that sofa&bed solution but my bedroom is upstairs so i dont really need to go after that solution. a corner sofa would be defo great for that space dont you think? Another thing is that these wicker chairs are bought to be outside in the alley :) we bought them a couple of days ago. That space will be used to watch sports on telly and play games on the playstation and watching movies of course so i dont believe that chairs are a good solution to have here. A couch will be a better solution because i can stretch my legs out :D oh and when football's on we need more action and a little less conversation like the song goes :) I've got 2 computers. the one next to the stairs is an old one so i wont keep it. the other which is functional will be placed next to the WC door as you can see. i think there is enough space for an 1m desk and an office chair with wheels. I used to have a computer armoire but i hate them......See MoreHelp! I need help decorating my living room
Comments (44)Sounds like you and hubby aren’t on the same page. Buying a table, without ability to return is red flag to me. He bought that rug too without your involvement. The rug is wrong size and style. No photo of the table. But better sit down and talk about this and reach some compromises otherwise, these situations can fester and get ugly over time....See MoreLiving Room Dilemma HELP ME DECORATE!!!!
Comments (3)Great simple, attractive design to start with. I don't think you need much more if you are mintaining contemporary look. Less will be more- but this also means focus on quality. Make every additional piece count. Wall color looks grey-? It reads a little lavendar on my monitor. Are you keeping that? If so, pillows with any color in them will have to compliment wall color (blue, for ex, may pull out more lavendar, which wouldn't look great, imo); so, too, should everything else. I would wait and do pillows last. Start with new rug or great piece of art, large scale and above the sofa, before getting pillows, etc. Find something that helps you confirm a simple color scheme, something to add to the white you have. Art will help add personality. Your orchid on table looks great. Oversized, stacked coffee table books always look great- even one stack of books, placed across from orchid. And maybe think about replacing blinds with something more contemporary- solar shades, in white, black, grey, or brown- depending on color scheme. A chandelier will look great- and try to have at least one more source of lighting, a floor and/or table lamp. And maybe a sleek, black, small pedestal side table. For a final touch, add something green and alive- A vase of bamboo stalks or some modern looking plant. Good luck!...See MoreNeed help decorating my living room
Comments (3)We agree with @Diana Bier on the suggestion to add curtains which would definitely add to a formal living room setting. @user01 l We've made you a layout (approx dimensions) for a formal living room. You could also add a sectional in this layout if you'd like a seat by the window that would be great for TV viewing. We love the idea of a gallery wall! We have created multiple design options for your space. you can view them all and make your own gallery wall. See this room in a photo-realistic 360 view here and interact with a 3D view. swap it till you like it Happy decorating!!!...See Moreeverdebz
