Comments (30)Here's ours, per your request. After 6 years it still looks like the day it was installed. no stains , chips or whatever and it still has that nice glossy finish (that we Love). By the way cloud swift, your granite is stunning and it tends to match your name. I would have liked something with that much colour, but the wife, unfortunately, is not into that sort of thing, although I'm happy with the compromise we made in getting the Arandis Gold granite. Best of luck fouramblues, on your upcoming decisions, We hope you are as happy with it after 6 years of use, as We are!!! Gary...See MoreCountertop Geology webinar series!

If anyone who didn't register wants to see this, then try the link and maybe you can register and then watch it? I'm not sure. Comments (12)Caroline, I think you are making the correct choice in steering away from that stone. I might suggest to that fabricator that they learn how to do the diagnostics themselves. It's amazingly easy, and then they don't have to worry about being burned by what someone else tells them. I'm teaching a webinars on this topic for the Marble Institute of America on May 17 and 24, in case you feel like passing along this info to them. http://www.marble-institute.com/events/calendar-of-events/introduction-to-natural-stone-exploring-marble-limestone-quartzite-and-other-stones-part-2/ and http://www.marble-institute.com/events/calendar-of-events/introduction-to-natural-stone-how-to-do-basic-diagnostics-on-natural-stone-part-3/ Good luck in your continued search!...See MoreKitchen help...hate the granite countertops
Comments (70)After reading your post I mentally prepared myself for something horrid-looking and wildly inappropriate. Instead, I saw something wonderful. I tend toward warm tones, but with your very dark cabinets the granite you have is fresh and lovely, much nicer than the yellow tone you were expecting, which I frankly think looks fuddy-duddy with your dark cabinets. To my eye it doesn't clash with the flooring, and warmer light bulbs may make it easier for you to accept the change. It is worlds better than your previous laminate. I actually like it better than the choices Beth showed because the larger, more sweeping patterns don't look right for your kitchen. Please give yourself a chance to like it and even love it, although it is so dear of your husband to offer to replace it. I wouldn't replace him!...See More- 6 years ago
