we have a house with carpet, want to replace with wood floors and paint. need color suggestions.

The first thing I would do is get a counter depth fridge in that small space and since the space is tiny I think the same as the walls could be a good idea. I certainly would not have done black appliances and with the new cabinet color they will even be more of an issue so think a lot about this change.

Whole-house flooring is such an asset. Perhaps there would be a way to refinish it better. Have you looked into Loba 2K Supra AT? It is remarkably durable and should last you decades even in the kitchen.

I n eed pics but usually I like flooring to either match the trim or the trim painted to not fight with the floors But with no idea of what you have who knows . Dir they not remove the baseboards when they did the floor ? IMO if you love the wood and it is the same wood as the floors I would strip and stain to match, IMO if Nordic is the aim the wood all needs to be the same as the floors or painted
