This room is just too cute for words! I assume this isn't the room your significant other would have his buddies over to watch the Superbowl, but it is extremely charming. I do agree that if you could lose the shelf under the table, it would make it less bulky & would showcase more of your rug through the glass. Normally the size of the table compared to some of the other elements may be a bit large, but because of the quirky, Alice in wonderland feel of the room, I think it works. Black high gloss spray paint all the way...several coats!

Beth H. : , we love the idea of the console table against the wall near window, and the stools underneath. And also like the styling you suggested. For the fireplace, we were thinking of a round mirror as the anchor. We though about a large (55"x40") abstract painting in the wall on the right side of the fireplace (which has similar dimensions than the one on the left). We hope this provides balance with the console that will go in the same wall, on the left side of the fireplace. Whould this work?

Which coffee table goes well in this room? Should I consider something else?

I’d adjust the loveseat first as suggested above. Do you have anything else for the room yet? Pillows? Art? I think both coffee tables are fine. It will make a big difference once you accessorize the room a bit. Then maybe one will work better than the other. Do you plan to put anything on the coffee table? If you don’t have anything else for the room yet I’d spend some time looking at photos and figuring out what appeals to you and what direction you want to go.
