I have ductwork inside a wall that butts up against a closet. In the summer when I am really using the AC there is water in the closet from it condensing. What can I do to fix that?

We have had two closet systems installed Closets by Design. Both times we had positive experiences with the install; just be clear whether you want it to be notched in the back for baseboard, in my opinion it looks better to remove your baseboard so it’s not notched. It’s also worth it to add the baseboard and crown, and increase the height of the system to the ceiling. The salespeople do have a “poor mentality” to make sure they get the sale so you really have to push to add these extras. We are pretty handy, so the third closet system we did ourselves using Menard’s Dakota system for a third of the cost or less. It looks as nice and sturdy the rest.

I have Elfa ventilated shelves (and some drawers) in my pantry and laundry room both. I love them BUT I use liners so I don't have the wobbly issue going on. That would drive me crazy. Elfa's ventilated shelves, unlike what you can find at Lowe's, HD or Ikea, have the wires a lot closer together. They also "lock" into place so the wire part is sitting really firmly in the bracket - not just a piece of wood sitting on top of the shelf bracket. As far as organizing little things, Elfa has "shelf baskets" that you can put dividers in and stack stuff in if need be. In the pic below, I have one of those on the immediate left (3 shelves up) and above the counter top oven in the back. I use it for bags of baking stuff like chocolate chips, coconut, etc on the left and treats in the back. And I absolutely love their big drawers. Container Store's return policy is great too - anytime with a receipt and the best Elfa sales is 30% off all Elfa products. It starts Dec. 24th and goes through the end of January typically. There is one in the fall that isn't as good - 25% of Elfa Shelving. (No, I don't work for Container Store, I am just a big fan and will be buying some more Elfa stuff during their Dec. sale.) We have had separate reach ins for 33 years until this house where we have a shared 7'6" x15' walkin/ walk through closet bisected by doorways. One door opens to the bath and another to the study (laundry is just steps away through the study -- close enough that it has become our habit just to drop dirties in the laundry). Contrary to some, we very definitely prefer the closet through the bath! It's nice to get up, put on a robe, make the bed and open the blinds first thing before coffee and then not have to go back into the bedroom area to get dressed. Also, instead of having to walk past closets on the way from the bed to the bath, it makes for a much shorter trip for nighttime nature calls. His end is 7'6" x 5' with a dresser and cubbies on one side and couple rods on the other with a bench on the end under a high window and my end is 7'6" x 7' with a single rod on one side, double rods across the back, and dresser on the other side with room for a small chair (still have to put my cubbies up). It's perfect for us.
