Paint color and carpeting to go with teal couch?
Comments (9)Do you want to match the teal or do you want a color that coordinates with it? We have a couch that is a med.-dk teal. We have a very light beige/cream colored carpet and I'm in the process of painting the walls a very light subtle peach. I originally thought I wanted a light shade of teal, but was afraid it might be more teal than I could handle for very long...and I'm not into repainting frequently, lol! The color is a Behr color called Peach Fade that I had mixed in BM. Depending on the light it comes off as a very soft subdued peach or sometimes a creamy offwhite/yellow. I didn't want it strong enough that anyone walking in would see the walls and think 'peach' if you know what I mean. My floorplan is very open between the formal living, dining, and family room so I needed something that gave a bit of color yet served as a neutral and the peach tone is working well with all those rooms and furnishings....See MoreNeed help with wall paint color for honey maple stairs
Comments (10)Hi. On the second level of stairs, you have those three wall hangings. If you ran a blue tape paint line directly through the center square of all three wall ornaments you'd should have a profile approximate with the banister (thats what I thought at first. The wall color seems a good match right now for the banister hardware but if you need something easier on the eyes to transit the stairs, you could change the tone to the white of the lower wall. That large banana tree offers a chance to change white hue to something more white-green tint, or a very subtle aquamarine. Its a very blocky suggestion. I did this mod on ms paint so , just heads up. The black line indicates the high contrast change of paint tone. I made a gap for the plant but it should all be filled in behind it. I think the blue looks better with the plant and the wall than the green and then could be continued to the wall below it....See MoreNeed a 3rd paint color to go with existing paint colors.
Comments (12)Who knows? But if you click on the photo, you see the entire area. The teal is very pretty and works well with your rug and other textiles. Maybe find another pillow/rug/curtain fabric with teal, almond and a third color for the adjoining room work from there. As others have stated, the color on the walls doesn't exist in a vacuum--you need a comprehensive plan for the space. The wall paint is merely one piece of the puzzle....See MoreAdvice needed for color scheme for paint/carpet
Comments (12)I would leave the cabinets, they look to be in excellent condition, and plan for new countertops. I dont like beige either, so I agree with the suggestion of either light gray for the carpets, or preferably pick out bedding and work from it for your carpeting. After seeing your tile, I can understand, why you want to change it in a yr or so. Its very very busy. Congratulations, on your new home. It looks to have been well maintained, and is very clean, and thats a huge plus....See Morejbcappello51
