Herbal remedies for reducing scarring
Comments (16)First of all Colliodial, Nano, Hydrosolized, and Ionic silver, are different due to the particulate size, process used, and therefore treatment. Plus usually a formula of activated charcoal and several other ingredients is the appropriate remedy for the early stages of gangrene. At least not for topical application as we're discussing here. There must be some amount of evidence proving silver's ability to heal, considering it's often used in mainstream medicine for burn patients where major treatment is needed. Whether or not you believe these- or any remedies without research, is up to you. Unfortunately, it's next to impossible to prove these things in a fashion that's more than anecdotal. I believe many skeptics like you are very aware of the fact that since there is very little demand for studies on many alternative cures(due to most people going with mainstream medicine), you can use such an argument to your advantage within these conversations, because you know full well the request cannot be met. It's a wonder you claim to understand the many clinical research papers you quote though, when you're so averse to perfectly appropriate medical terms and simply call them buzzwords. I guess it's good that people here stick only to already proven cures for things instead of trying to improve on them, otherwise things would fall apart with that attitude....See MoreContainer Comparison (duplicate post)
Comments (7)Initially they were planted at the same depth. since the one on the left was an extra, I only put in about a third full of soil and planted up to the leaves. In the coffee cup, I filled it almost full, and again planted up to the leaves. In the soda bottle, as the seedling grew, I added soil up as high as the leaves. Haven't touched the one in the cup. so in reality, the depth is pretty much the same...although the total depth of soil was more shallow on the left initially (still-planted at the same depth). There is of course more volume now in the soda bottle as its wider. I know that I read that roots will shy away from light, which was given as a reason not to use clear drink cups, but now it makes me wonder.... Personally, I do not think that the container material makes a difference. I *think* what made the difference here is the root system has been developing from the main stem (as I've added soil to the soda bottle) whereas the one in the cup has had to develop the roots from only the bottom where it is planted. Just a theory......See MoreGraft Scar
Comments (5)Hi Frank, well, I feel I cannot comment on or pass judgement on the aesthetics of grafted plants as I have only ever seen one DR for sale as they are certainly 'not the norm' in our garden centres etc. As for their fickle temperament, yes, I agree they are challenging and especially so for folks like me who live in less than ideal situations. Climate is our major problem, but obviously can't be altered. However, ones growing conditions and methods can to a certain extent. When I read posts from growers such as our new UK member 'Adenium 1949' and see what can be achieved, I am encouraged and feel inspired even more to learn how to correct my wrongs and grow them better. One day I know I will get one to flower, and till then I will not give up. I like a challenge every now and then and this plant family suits me just fine! Easy-peasy plants can get boring for me. This too is just my opinion you understand :) Gill from the UK....which by the way is more like the Arctic at the moment, as the snow is deep and crisp and even....See MoreMaple with nasty scar
Comments (8)sorry to say.. but i am with hubby here... you have ONE TREE in front of your house.. why do you want this one??? probably the best option.. being diplomatic.. is to plant a couple more .... so that when you come to understand that this one is not performing to expectations [i expect mine to NOT look like this] ... and then .. when you finally agree that it can go .. you already have the replacements in place ... all that said .. this is the tree forum ... not the marriage forum.. IS THIS REALLY WHERE YOU WANT TO MAKE YOUR STAND???? is this tree so important to YOU .. that you cant make hubby happy and let him slaughter the beast .. and plant his queen a new tree??? really now.. he actually wants to do something to improve your castle.. and you are fighting him.. let ax man take care of it.. and move on ... and well he is at it.. insist on a tree better than a maple.. i prefer oak.. but they might not be best for your area ... but that is your choice ... was that a gang of malignant chickens spying on the photographer??? IMHO.. anything you can dream up ... is contrary to nature.. so leave it alone ... or cut it down ... and i dont really think.. that after ten years.. it is going to heal ... plus the lean .. blah blah ... that is your dose of reality for today ... lol good luck ken...See MoreUser
