Laptop won't hook up to wireless network
Comments (8)try a full power down of everything I do mean everything. Power off the computers, the router, the modem etc. leave all power off for 5 mins or so, then power up in this order, power to modem only let it get fully lit up, then power on to router, let it get fully lit up, then power up your computers letting each get fully loaded. Then try to connect to your wireless, I assume you have put in your wireless network passphrase for the laptops that are trying to access the wifi network....See More18 month old Acer laptop won't start, new power supply
Comments (4)Thanks for the replies, appreciate the help! It does not start with battery in place and plugged into a working electrical outlet. The new a/c adaptor is the correct one for that model and is in working order. I don't have a different battery to try in it. When I took the battery out and plugged it into the new a/c adaptor, the power button blinked once but did not turn on. The battery was working fine, charging properly and staying charged as normal prior to the intermittent beeping when the a/c adaptor was plugged in. I think it may be something to do with the jack since my husband says there is nothing wrong with the old power supply....See MoreSrew turns but won't come out
Comments (15)I was having problems with tiny screws that turned but wouldn't come out the whole way on the bottom of a laptop. Started researching it online some and most who had success with this said if you could get something underneath the screw you could gently pry it upward while turning, my problem was similar to this but not such a deep hole, so I used thread and floral wire to get underneath the screws...the one that was really tricky I used the thread. It was a little more time consuming to get the thread the entire way around the screw and it came off the first time so I decided to tie the thread around it the next time around. Then I did just gently pull it out while using the screwdriver a little more. I know this post was years ago but i was linked to it today so Hope this helps anyone else who has this kind of a problem. (on the other side of the plastic there were strange little washers that kept me from gaining access, I think they are there in order to keep the screws attached to the plastic so they don't get lost?)...See MoreElectric string trimmer won't turn on
Comments (14)I am suddenly out of sync with the “Boards” and try to get info in when I can. This is a concern and I have questioned my “Drs” since age 70 (at 72 now) I had a good 36 year career and my few absences allowed me to receive credit for 40 years of service at 57 years of age. My memory is starting to challenge me. I have met fellows less than 70 that did not know their age. I have spotted friends walking and knew they were off course and got them home. I stopped “Traveling and Fishing” when I realized was getting confused or forgetting simple matters. I walk 2 miles 5 week days and work projects and maintenance 2-3 days 2-3 hrs a week. That is down from walking 4 miles 5 days and working or volunteering all day My First 10 Years Of Retirement. “I Might J Just Be Tired” LOL! The Arc welder is up and running w/o finding a reason. After trying a different AC source and another AC Welder I knew mine should work and it did. The “Rods that would arc and stick, Started Continuing To Arc”. I can only say “It Was A Bug”! My rods were stored in a double wall Military Shell Container. Downsizing they are sealed in smaller sealed container, with like new flux. I’ll hope to find some answers with my issues or I’ll get off the 3 Mechanical Boards “Before 90”!....See More- 7 years ago
